Unfortunately, the info about Mimosa on this site is outdated. It is NOT the Mimosa it used to be! It had been 2 years since I enjoyed the great food and atmosphere there - so I decided to go back. What a shock. The comfortable intown restaurant with wonderful `Harper's ` quality food was no more. At one time you could get a killer tuna steak here with excellent side dishes. NOw- it is catering to a more upscale clientele and serves expensive haute cuisine. Now, I enjoy good gourmet food - but we ordered mahi-mahi on fettucini and a supposed oriental duck dish with stir-fry. Both were quite tasteless. The rice was gummy, the vegetables tasted boiled- not stir-fried. The fish was bland and the fettucini tasted like water. When the waiter saw e did not eat it he inquired and I told him we like the old Mimosa better. His reply was `oh- you mean when they wore jeans and stuff`? I quickly told him I was refering to the menu. Eventually the manager came around and put us on trial but offered no gesture of adjustment for our disatisfication (although the server offered complimentary dessert- which we refused). It was not a pleasant experience. I do not recommend the Mimosa unless they change. Our $70.00 meal was virtually inedible.
